The Forestry Commission 'English Woodland Grant Scheme' is still open for 2010/11 applications throughout certain regions of the country. The Woodland Creation Grant offers payment rates of £1800 per hectare plus additional 'regional' contributions up to £4000 per hectare for new planting in priority areas. In addition the woodland may qualify for an annual grant of up to £300 per hectare for 15 years.
